VPS snapshots are now available: keep a permanent copy of a server and deploy it as new VPS in any location.
Turn any backup of your VPS into a snapshot from its backups page. The snapshot belongs to your organization, not to the server: it doesn't expire with the backup retention and stays when you destroy the original VPS.
- Keep idle projects for much less: take a snapshot, destroy the VPS and pay only for the storage. When you need it again, deploy it back exactly as it was.
- Deploy wherever you want: in Barcelona, Houston or Miami, on any plan with an equal or larger disk. Pick the snapshot in the Snapshots tab when deploying a VPS.
- Every server starts fresh: its own IPs, password and SSH keys, without inheriting the network or firewall of the original.
