VPS join the catalogue, billed monthly. The same hardware and the same network as our bare metal, sliced into instances for the workloads that don't need a whole machine to themselves.
This is the first half of the cloud story. Monthly VPS is what we can offer while the billing and provisioning underneath still run on off-the-shelf software; hourly instances arrive later, once the platform behind them is ours.
